Ethical Statement

My work utilises makeup and chemicals used for special effects and artistic purposes. It is my responsibility to ensure that these were not tested on animals and as far as possible free from animal products. I use brands such as Mehron which is a cruelty-free brand that does not test on animals; additionally, they have a dedicated section for The Vegan Society approved products. Currently, I use Daler Rowney Graduate Oil paints which are vegan apart from Ivory Black. I use their Lamp Black instead. I am a self-proclaimed horror fanatic, and I love practical special effects; that does not mean that I support real-life cruelty and needless suffering of any living being. With my new artworks, I like to recycle materials from previous projects to help reduce the waste I produce during my creative process. In the past, I was not as conscious of the effects my actions could have, resulting in my older works not being as environmentally friendly or as ethical as I would like them to be now. My opinions and views grow and evolve with me. Moving forward, I hope to learn more and create work that is not only (hopefully) good and thought-provoking, but also compassionate to our planet and its inhabitants.
