CLAIRE – Private View

The Evening

The evening started with a live performance by a brass band followed by a speech by our co-producer Benjamin Reynolds. After a short break at the bar, the audience sat down to watch for the first time the finished version of Claire.

I must say that the feeling of watching your own film screened at a cinema was a truly surreal experience thanks to which we could appreciate the film to its’ full potential. The sound design was fantastic and when combined with moments of darkness it was hauntingly beautiful.

After the screening, the titular Claire Throssell gave a powerful and emotional speech, thanking the community that helped to uplift her and drawing further attention to the work that must still be done to keep children safe in family courts.

As a team, we are now working on getting this documentary seen by as many audiences as possible to raise awareness of Claire’s Child First campaign. Please follow this link to sign the petition.
